Board of Directors

Secretary: Mark Workman

Marc Workman received a Bachelor of Arts with honours in political science from the University of Alberta in 2006. Later that year, he began work on a Masters degree in political science at the same university. After completing his Masters, he intends to start work on a Ph.D in philosophy.

Marc joined the AEBC in 2007 as the Vice President of the Edmonton chapter.

At the 2008 AGM, he was elected to the position of Secretary on the National Board. Marc has also served as the VP External for the Campus Association of Disability Issues, a cross-disability advocacy and awareness group that he helped establish at the University of Alberta.

Another of Marc's interests is playing music. As a drummer, guitarist, and singer, he has performed in Edmonton and throughout Alberta and independently recorded several albums.

Marc brings to the Board excellent communication skills. In his studies, he has been writing and thinking critically about disability issues over the last several years. His ability to read analytically and communicate effectively is a valuable asset to the Board.
