Requesting your support November 15/16: Appeal in Jodhan Website Case Again

On November 15/16, our national president Donna Jodhan will be attending court in her continuing battle against the Federal Government over their inaccessible websites.

Donna Jodhan won on behalf of all of us On November 29, 2010. Justice Michael Kelen ruled in Donna's favour; a landmark decision.

Now the government is appealing Justice Michael Kelen's decision and it is very important for the AEBC to show their support not just for our president but for all blind Canadians.

The AEBC will also have up to 45 minutes to speak on behalf of Donna's case and the AEBC were the only organization to have been granted intervener's status.

Every voice counts and your attendance in the court is very important as AEBC members, friends and other organizations attended court in September 2010 and in February 2011. Justice Kelen remarked on the support and attendance in the court in favour of making Federal Government websites accessible. We were recognized and so, our presence is very important.

Please come out and support our president and our organization.

Date & Time: Tuesday, November 15, commencing 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. At this point, we cannot say for sure if a second day will be needed.

Address: 180 Queen St. West: University and Queen St W: Toronto.

This is for you. Let's show the judges, government and everyone in the court that we need this and are giving our support by being present on November 15 and 16.

Please let me know as soon as possible if, you will be attending as there is limited seating. Any questions or inquiries, contact:  Susan Pinder at (416) 497-0444 or by e-mail: sjcn@rogers.com.

Thank you for your support
