2014 Stratford Festival: Audio-described Performances

The Stratford Festival provides live audio description service for patrons who are blind or have low vision on select performance dates. Join us at the following shows (which are marked on the performance calendar with a "descriptive audio" symbol):

Crazy for You

  • Sunday, June 22, 2:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 6, 2:00 p.m.

Man of La Mancha

  • Saturday, July 12, 2:00 p.m.
  • Friday, August 29, 2:00 p.m.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

  • Sunday, July 27, 2:00 p.m.

King Lear

  • Sunday, September 7, 2:00 p.m.

    Additional performance dates may be added for groups of 10 or more. Please inquire at groups@stratfordfestival.ca.

Other things you may find helpful:

  1. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for a pre-show description of the set and costumes, which begins 15 minutes before the performance.
  2. People who carry a valid CNIB or Access2Entertainment card may receive one complimentary theatre ticket to give to a support person.
  3. For our Toronto and Detroit patrons, the Festival has a direct bus service from the city centre directly to each of the 4 theatres. $20 return for Toronto; $40 return for Detroit. Please inquire at the time of booking.
  4. The Festival offers Braille house programs that can be borrowed from the theatre or downloaded onto your personal Braille Note Taker.
