OCAD University - IN Series Event: Traverse - Stories from the Built Environment (November 27, 2013)

You are invited to the IN Series event: Traverse - Stories from the Built Environment, hosted by the Inclusive Design Institute, is a night of storytelling by a multidisciplinary panel, presenting outstanding examples of access from the urban environment. This third IN Series event will create awareness, educate, communicate, and foster engagement about topics and issues involving inclusion and accessibility. Panelists will discuss a range of positive experiences in areas such as; architectural design, way finding, transportation, environmental policy, industrial design, legislation, lighting, acoustics, and playground design, and they will present best practices in the built environment.

IN Series is a series of public presentations and events on a wide variety of topics from the engaging and thought provoking field of Inclusion: Accessibility, Health, Education, Art, Culture and Design hosted by the Inclusive Design Institute (IDI), at OCAD University. The IDI is a hub of applied research that addresses the challenge of design that is inclusive of the full range of human diversity with respect to ability, language, culture, gender and age, including users with disabilities, language needs and various cultural preferences.
