Halifax Chapter "Mystery Evening Theatre" - May 24, 2014 with guest Donna Jodhan - Buy tickets!

On May 24th, 2014, the Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians Halifax Chapter, in collaboration with author Donna Jodhan, an author who is blind and writes audio mysteries for all ages called "Detective DJ and the Crime Crusher Series" (http://www.donnajodhan.com), are hosting what we intend to be a fun and exciting awareness and fundraising event: our "Mystery Evening Theatre"!

Join our Facebook page at "AEBC Halifax Chapter" where you can find out more clues about this mystery and learn more about the actors who will be participating in our "Mystery Evening Theatre".

This unique event has been taken straight from the pages of one of author Donna Jodhan’s audio mysteries and she has written the script to suit the actors who are blind and partially sighted.

Blind and partially sighted detectives you may ask? Of course! Detective DJ and the Crime Crusher Series will describe in great detail, a cold-case mystery that happened a year ago on St. Patrick’s Day. It is our guest’s job to help Detective DJ and the Crime Crusher Series wrap-up this cold case mystery and put it to rest once and for all. A cash prize of $200.00 will be awarded to the individual who can correctly identify who the suspect is.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses! Download our sponsorship package for more information.

Still not convinced? Then you will have to come out and see it in action for yourself. It will be held at the Dartmouth Sportsplex in the Nantucket Room (2nd floor) on May 24th from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for registration.

With our keynote speaker, Donna Jodhan, this evening also consists of light refreshments, friendly conversation, fun games and will provide everyone with a unique opportunity to see Detective DJ and the Crime Crusher Series in action. With the help of humour and friends, we hope to make this a very fun and exciting evening you will never forget.

Tickets are $30.00 each. There are door prizes available and a prize for the best dressed “Detective”. A 50/50 ticket draw will also be held.

Tickets can be purchased on-line with Paypal or credit card (below) or by calling 1-800-561-4774. Tickets can also be purchased at the door at the time of the event, however, they are limited.
