Kelowna member Ruth Bieber stars in equestrian documentary: CBC Documentary Channel, June 2, 8pm EST/5pm Pacific

Ruth Bieber from Kelowna, Terry Kelly from Halifax and Carly Grigg from Victoria were approached by Criollo Films and CBC to go on an adventure and produce an informative documentary in Argentina.

This inaugural screening of this unprecedented documentary featuring three blind equestrians bravely navigating the rugged and beautiful terrain of the Argentine Andes on horseback was very well received by folks in Kelowna. The airing date for the Blind Spot: Moments Unseen, is on CBC Documentary Channel, June 2, 2015 at 8:00 P.M. EST or 5:00 P.M. PST.

Ruth also wrote an article about her horseback riding trek in Patagonia Argentina, which can be found by going to the Sage-ing journal online spring 2015 issue (http://www.sageing.ca). The title of the article is Under the Argentine Moon; Riding Patagonia, which can be found starting at page 39 of the PDF version of the magazine. Her article gives personal details about her experience, that do not appear in the documentary.

The article also includes six of her paintings, which are currently displayed at the Rotary Centre for the Arts in Kelowna. Ruth says this art series is very revealing!
