Philippa (Pippa) Wrobel Memorial Fund (Greater Montreal Chapter Bursary Program)

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing on December 10th, 2015 of one of our esteemed Montreal members, Philippa (Pippa) Wrobel. A long-time member of the Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians, Pippa is most recently known for her instrumental role in establishing the Greater Montreal Chapter’s Bursary Program which provides financial assistance to postsecondary students who are blind, deaf-blind or partially sighted.

A brief memorial service and reception will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Collins Clarke Macgillivray White funeral home (5610 Rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H4A 1W5).

A fund has been established at the Montreal Chapter of the Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians where donations may be made in memory of Pippa to help continue her work.
