Annual General Meeting (AGM) Committee

Contact: Dar Wournell (dar@blindcanadians.ca)

This year, the AGM committee will be planning for the 2017 AEBC National Conference and Annual General Meeting, to be held in Toronto, Ontario. This will be a fun and exciting time for AEBC as we plan and celebrate AEBC’s 25th Anniversary. The purpose of the AGM committee is to create awareness of the AGM, focusing on AEBC’s 25th Anniversary, and to encourage more participation from defined geographic areas throughout Canada.

The AGM committee will be tasked with representation at the AGM from their area which could include recommendations to the national board for tabling local advocacy issues, coordination of guest speakers, professional workshop leads, coordination of AGM events, etc.

The AGM committee (or a subset thereof) will also be tasked with handling the nomination and granting of awards and recognition.

The AGM committee (or a subset thereof) will also be tasked with vetting through the workshop proposals which will be requested six months before the AGM as per Resolution 2016-02.
