The Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians (AEBC) extends an invitation to our AEBC Vision Assistive Technology and Community Support Exhibition 2017, taking place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017. This event will coincide with the AEBC’s 25th Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) April 28-April 30, 2017.

Theme: Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians' 25th Anniversary

The Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians (AEBC), founded in Kelowna, British Columbia in 1992, will be celebrating 25 years of working toward the full inclusion and participation of blind, deaf-blind, and partially sighted Canadians in all aspects of society. Through its public education, peer support, training opportunities, and public policy advocacy activities, the AEBC and its members have many successes to look back on and, many future opportunities to look forward to.

We are looking for your support and hope you would join us at this meaningful event. Your attendance and participation is very important to our community.

We are asking you to consider exhibiting and/or sponsoring the AEBC Vision Assistive Technology and Community Support Exhibition 2017. Whether you are an employer, a service provider, a social or recreational group, sell assistive technology products, then this event will be an excellent venue to network and interact with the blind, deaf-blind and partially sighted community.

This public event will appeal to a wide range of individuals:

  • People and families affected by vision loss;
  • Consumers seeking information about service providers, products and/or services in the area of vision loss;
  • Organizations that have embraced diversity with initiatives to remove access barriers to employees or customers with vision loss;
  • Teachers, students and parents looking for accessible solutions in the education setting.
  • Anyone else who is interested in the areas of access, inclusion, independent living, and caregiving.

(No registration is required to attend the exhibition.)

If you wish to participate in the AEBC Vision Assistive Technology and Community Support Exhibition 2017, please download and complete the Exhibitor and Vendor Registration Form and return it to the address provided before Friday, March 17, 2017. We will be accepting completed registration forms and payment up until Friday, March 17, 2017, however exhibit space will be determined on a “first come, first serve” basis. We would also like to promote the organizations that are exhibiting to our membership and the public press releases.
