PEACH Project

What is the Value of What You Know?

Living with a disability can mean finding solutions to problems others don't notice. That knowledge can help improve services and guide policies or even laws. But is it always given the recognition and fair pay that it deserves?

AEBC's PEACH Project (Promoting Equity in Accessibility Consulting) is a three-year project funded by Accessibility Standards Canada. It explores how the expertise of people with disabilities, including knowledge gained through lived experience, can be better recognized and fairly compensated. By learning from people with a wide range of disabilities, researchers, and other organizations, PEACH aims to help shape fairer ways to value and use that expertise.

Why Does It Matter?

There are many reasons to take interest in this work. Maybe you:

  • Have experiences to share;

  • Know someone who would like to get involved;

  • Want to see better opportunities for the next generation.

Whether you participate, follow our progress, or pass the information along, you can help shape the future of disability consulting.
