It is estimated that persons with disabilities represent $25 billion in purchasing power so ensuring that customer services meet their needs is an obvious business choice. The Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Canada's leading standards developer, and the Government of Ontario, Ministry of Citizenship, have produced a new standard that includes resources on how to recognize and meet specific needs of people with disabilities, service policy development and planning guidance on training, and a management process to promote continual improvement.
