Step Up & Embrace Change!

Reflecting on our History & Achievements

We have launched our mid-year annual fundraising campaign and hope you will consider supporting us this year.

In a rapidly evolving world, stepping up to embrace change is essential for fostering inclusion and equal opportunities for everyone. AEBC is at the forefront of advocating for the rights and improving the lives of blind, partially sighted, and deafblind individuals across Canada.

Our mission is to remove barriers, promote accessibility, and ensure equal access to goods, services, education, and opportunities for our community. But to create meaningful change, we need your support.

Why Your Support Matters

AEBC is committed to stepping up and amplifying the voices of those who are often unheard. We ensure that their concerns are addressed at all levels of government—from federal to municipal. Our dedicated members tirelessly work to guarantee that our community has a seat at the table when important decisions are made.

Beyond advocacy, AEBC is a supportive community that connects individuals with similar life experiences. We provide peer support, help members become more technologically literate, and foster a network that promotes full participation in society.

We are committed to raising public awareness about accessibility in education, employment, and consumer needs. Through our scholarship program, we support post-secondary students in pursuit of their dreams, providing financial assistance to those who need it most.

Our Impact

We recently combed through historical documents to compile a complete list of activities, achievements and milestones. AEBC has worked incredibly hard over the past 32 years, and we are excited to celebrate all of the amazing work and people involved on a new webpage called History & Achievements. We hope you will take some time to read through all that we have achieve together.

Your Role in Our Future

By stepping up and embracing change, your generous contribution will enable AEBC to continue its vital work. Your donation will help us:

  • Advocate for the rights and opportunities of blind, partially sighted and Deafblind Canadians.

  • Develop and distribute crucial resources and information.

  • Foster a community of support and empowerment.
